Home Chef provides delicious meal solutions; delivering all of the fresh, pre-portioned ingredients, with easy to follow recipes, that help our customers enjoy meals everyone will love any night of the week.
No experience is needed for the Picker/Packer role.
Home Chef will provide you training in areas such as food safety, quality assurance and packing/shipping procedures.
Our facilities operate 24 hours a day, every day, with busy shipping periods on weekends.
Responsibilities:
Your days will consist of:
Portioning and packing Home Chef meals for our customers Using proper measuring utensils to portion ingredients Labeling packages and preparing items for shipping Receiving direction from Supervisor, Line Lead and/or Team Lead to fulfill production requirements Transitioning between tasks when needed Collecting production and quality data Working as a team to reach shipping goals Following all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) while onsite Keeping your work area clean at all times and assisting in end of day cleanup
Qualifications:

General high school degree, or equivalent (e.

GED) preferred Ability to meet attendance guidelines (may include holidays, weekends, and overtime) Accuracy & attention to detail Flexibility and willingness to work on a team Self-motivation Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Our work is performed in a refrigerated environment (38 degrees or below inside at all times) Team members must be able to stand for extended periods of time (Shift 8 hours) Team members must be able to lift up to 50lbs (for example, you may have to periodically move cases of produce) Our number one priority is our employees, and we are focused on our employees' health and safety.
